Vietnam is the world's safest destination for solo female travelers

Thanks to political stability and low violent crime rates, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are also ideal destinations for foreigners.

Time Out editors also suggest visitors explore the ancient villages in Hoi An, which is famous for its slow pace of life and peaceful atmosphere. Visitors should also not forget to enjoy the cuisine of Hue, which was once the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam.

Currently, Hue has more than 1,200 dishes, including Hue beef noodle soup, ancient capital sweet soup, spring rolls and baby basket clams rice which is a rice dish with rustic ingredients such as baby basket clam and fresh herbs.
