Vietnam Railway Corporation said that the luxury train on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway route will run from May 10, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Port City. The tourist train consists of 20 new cars, two VIP cars designed in Indochine style, blending Asian - European architecture.
Special tickets for the 34-seat VIP car cost 250,000 VND at the beginning of the week and 300,000 VND at the end of the week. Passengers will be served a drink of their choice during the journey.
The 56-seat car has seats that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing passengers to freely adjust their seating direction. The interior details are chosen to provide a comfortable feeling for passengers throughout the journey. The ticket price for the beginning of the week is 150,000 VND per ticket, and for the end of the week it is 180,000 VND.
In addition to the 34- and 56-seat cars, the train still has regular cars with 64 seats, priced at 105,000 VND at the beginning of the week and 130,000 VND at the end of the week.
The Vietage Train (Da Nang - Quy Nhon)
The Vietage is a business train, with amenities and services like a mobile 5-star hotel, serving a maximum of 12 passengers per trip.
The train departs daily from Da Nang Station in the morning around 8-9am and stops at Dieu Tri Station, Quy Nhon in the afternoon around 2-3pm. The return trip departs in the evening around 5:30pm-7pm, traveling 300km in 6 hours. The train schedule may change depending on the season or be adjusted by the railway authority. Ticket prices range from 350-420 USD (8-10 million VND) for a one-way trip.
SJourney Vietnam Luxury Express Cross-Vietnam Train
SJourney is a luxury train operated by a number of investors - represented by PYS Travel - in cooperation with Vietnam Railways, launched in December last year. The train journey lasts 8 days and 7 nights, passing through the cities of Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and departing from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The train organizes 2 departures per month for each direction (Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi) from June to the end of the year. The all-inclusive ticket price is about 8,600 USD (219 million VND) per passenger including cabin, meals, sightseeing and services on the train.
The train runs at a speed of about 40 km/h - slower than the current 75 km/h of the North-South train, to avoid shaking. The speed is also calculated for passengers to relax and enjoy the scenery from the train.
Tourists experience local culture at each stop. The journey in Quang Binh begins with a visit to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, cruising on the Son River, exploring Phong Nha Cave. Chapa Express Train (Hanoi - Lao Cai)
