Formerly, this bay situated between Hue and Da Nang often received visitors who were merely passing through. However, Lang Co has many wonderful features that you might not yet know. Instead of visiting the familiar royal tombs, you can spend time staying in Lang Co, exploring the unique attractions of this coastal bay area. To reach Lang Co, you can take the frequently running Hue-Da Nang bus route or rent a motorbike from Hue.

In 2009, Lang Co Bay was voted into the list of "World’s Most Beautiful Bays" by Worldbays.

Transportation to Lang Co

Lang Co is located along National Highway 1A, right at the foot of Hai Van Pass, making it easily accessible by road via train, private car, or bus. The bay is located at the foot of the famous Hai Van Pass, approximately 70 km from Hue city and more than 30 km from Da Nang city.

If traveling by train or airplane, visitors should choose Da Nang as their destination. The travel time from the airport/train station to Lang Co is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you arrive in Hue, the travel time will be doubled.

Starting from Hue

From Hue city to Lang Co Beach, you will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of Tam Giang - Cau Hai Lagoon, the largest brackish water lagoon in Southeast Asia. You may also explore and admire Phuoc Tuong Pass if you are an adventure enthusiast. Hue city is quite far from Lang Co Beach (70 km), so choosing a suitable vehicle like a car or bus ensures your health and comfort for the journey.

Starting from Da Nang

From Da Nang to Lang Co, the distance is only one-third of the journey from Hue to Lang Co, so you can also choose similar means of transportation as from Hue. Once you pass through Hai Van, you will enter the territory of Thua Thien-Hue, and Lang Co Beach is located right between the borders of Thua Thien-Hue and Da Nang.
