My wife and I went from Hanoi to Lao Cai in a VIP cabin and from there to Sapa Center in a shuttle bus. The cabin decoration is so cute, all is perfectly prepared and Chapa staff offers you some free drinks and snacks. Also, the Chapa Lounge is available in case you need a shower before getting into the train. On our way back to Hanoi, they upgraded us with a better cabin for free, which made the experience completely recommendable. Thanks Chapa!
Best way to travel from Hanoi to Sa Pa

Comfortable and Convenient Journey
My recent journey on the sleeper train exceeded my expectations as they have changed by providing e-boarding pass now. I was impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff that replied each of my queries promptly and politely via WhatsApp. The onboard amenities, including Wi-Fi and power outlets, basic sanity kits and light refreshment is also provided. I would suggest one to book the VIP cabin or suite for a more comfortable journey. I’ve also pre booked the transfer from Lao Cai station to Sapa (both way) which makes things easier. I’m glad that the driver turned up earlier to pick us up due to massive jam in town the day we’re leaving.

Great experience
Exciting and interesting way to travel from Hanoi to Sapa. To be precise - to Lao Cai. Kind and attentive staff. Easy, quick and convenient process of buying tickets, we arranged everything through phone communication (using Whatsapp). The manager was great! Check-in started precisely at 21:00, we found our train and carriage quickly, without any assistance. The ride itself was a bit noisy and sometimes a little bumpy, so don't expect it as smooth as in many other countries. But, anyway, we slept a few hours well. Beds were as comfortable as they can be on a train. Bed linen was clean and fresh, as it was our room/berth, overall feeling in the room, or berth was cozy. Small snacks, drinks and fruits were provided for free. Arriving in LaoCai, immediately there were a lot of different busses and cars offering the transfer to Sapa. We took small shared bus for a good price, 100 000 VND for 2. Recommend this way of getting to Sapa. We are about to book it again for the way back.

We really enjoyed the night train to Sapa. A unique experience and we can absolutely recommend Chapa Express Train. The trains are well maintained and clean and the service staff is very lovely and friendly.

Luxury service
Awesome service from the chapa express team. WhatsApp communications very good, and the complimentary transport within Sapa to and from Lao cai makes a huge difference including the lounge. Ride was very comfortable, little noisy but that is the experience of a train ride. Would recommend.
